From Whence We Came (A Poem)
Oct 30, 2020
Sleep
A minute
An Hour
A day
A Van Wrinkle in time
As the unfurling
Wraps us
And tangles
We trip
Facefirst into the mud
At the base of a tree
And one day will
awake
as a leaf.
Emerald to fire
Fire to ash
and into
the earth
we return.
